Islanders/Flyers Pre Game Notes

First off, there was no need to finish that period by period blog of the Isles Sens game after the Isles took a 4-1 loss.

But tonight is a new night against the Flyers, this time being at the Coliseum. The Flyers defeated the Isles 6-1 last Saturday and I'm sure they'll do it again tonight. Dwayne Roloson will get the start in goal tonight. This shows that the Islanders are giving Rolie a chance to become the number one goaltender with Rick DiPietro struggling.

Notes
-As reported by Islanders Point Blank, Matt Martin was practicing alongside John Tavares
-Trent Hunter will return to the lineup tonight as everyone thought he was a healthy scratch last game, but he was just resting his injured foot.
-Daniel Briere will serve his third of the three game suspension tonight.

Keys To The Game
-As I say every game, the Islanders can't spend time in their own zone. This is why they've given up so many goals the past few games. They need to get the puck out of their zone and instead of dumping it in on most or almost every play, try passing it once in a while. I know it's not easy though but the Isles can't keep loosing these games. If they loose tonight, it'll be 7 in a row. We all knew the streak at the beginning of the year was just a streak.
