Islanders Drop Seventh To Flyers

And yet another loss. The Islanders are now 4-8-2 in the season, as they're on a what seems like never ending loosing streak. They at least played a little better tonight. It all started in the second when a Flyer deflected a shot past Roloson to grab the 1-0 lead. The Isles would get it back though when they went on the powerplay and Matt Moulson (who else?) cashed in sliding a wrist shot past the Flyers outstanding goaltender. Moulson also got robbed by a stick as he went to his backhand in front, and the crowd stood up waiting for the goal horn to go off as one of the Flyers defensemans stick got in the way. Seems like these Islanders have some bad luck.

Matt Martin got the crowd going by getting in a few scrums with Chris Pronger as he said he would get under Pronger's skin in a pre game interview. He also stated that he "Has a lot of respect for Pronger". Martin should certainly be kept up here. He should of been here since last season. He brings great energy to the game.

Late in the third, which seems to always happen to the Isles, they got scored on as a shot hit Rolie's helmet and rebounded to a stick and in the back of the net. Roloson should wear the neck guards, I don't understand why he doesn't.

These Islanders need to pick their game up. They registered some shots in the third and of course they kept missing the net. Possibly a trade or signing would help as Snow is on record to say that this team will be a playoff team. But it really doesn't look like it...At all...
