Islanders Drop Tenth; Notes

-The Islanders dropped their 10th game in a row last night vs the LA Kings. Rob Schremp had the only goal after being scratched two games prior. The Isles went with only 5 defensemen as Jack Hillen was out with the flu. The final score was 5-1 Kings with Roloson in net.

-The Isles also played the Sharks and the Ducks. They were shutout against the Ducks 1-0. The Sharks beat the Islanders in the shootout and the only goal for the Isles was from PA Parenteau which gave the Isles an early lead. Roloson played in those two games as well.

-Jon Sim was recalled from Bridgeport before this three game road trip, however he was only given two shifts of ice time last night against the Kings.

-Mark Streit and John Tavares are listed on the Islanders all star ballot

-According to sources, Miroslav Satan is expected to sign with an NHL team sometime this week. The Islanders need scoring, and all the offense they could get. I say they should sign him as they only have eight goals in eight games. Obviously this team has lost ten in a row and it's not going to get any better without help up front.

-Also to wrap things up, MSG Plus 2 will be airing in HD starting November 19th.
