UPDATED 11:18 AM: Rick DiPietro will get the start in net today.
For just the second game of the season for the Isles, they'll be taking on the Rangers at the Coliseum at 1:00 pm. Islanders pregame on MSG Plus starts at 12:30. It should be an exciting one for PA Parenteau, who was part of the rivarly last year, and now he's on the other side of the river.
It's still unclear who gets the start, but as soon as I know, I'll update. Expect John Tavares to be out, and Michael Grabner in. With Tavares out, this gives Grabner an opportunity to prove that the Isles management made the right move by claiming him.
That Gillies Konopka Sim line will be in effect today!
The Islanders will most likely be wearing their new white away jerseys, as they do on matinee games. Rangers will be in their home jerseys. Maybe Martin Biron will be in net since most coaches let goalies play against their former teams.
