Islanders' Young Core Pulling Together: My piece I wrote on the Isles a few weeks ago and how their progressing with their young core

To start off, Defensemen Andrew MacDonald flew back to New York and underwent hand surgery yesterday, as he left Thursday night's game with a hand injury. Jack Hillen will take his place, which he took Wisniewski's place when he was suspended.

---
The Isles will play the Florida Panthers who stand a record of 2-3-0 with 5 games played. I assume Roloson gets the nod in goal tonight as he was on the ice for practice yesterday, but you never know because sometimes DP gets practice days off.

Per Katie Strang, coach Scott Gordon hasn't made a decision yet on weather Josh Bailey (hip flextor) will play tonight or not. But, some good news is that Blake Comeau is okay, and only suffered a charlie horse in Thursday nights game as he crashed into Ellis's net. He went off the ice but able to return for OT. Thank goodness, because that's not what this Isles team needs, another injury!

And of course, the game will air on MSG Plus 2..
