Isles Not Done Shopping Yet?

Chris Botta of Islanders Point Blank reports in an interview with Islanders GM Garth Snow that if a decent top 6 forward becomes available, Snow will try his best to acquire him. Great to hear from Snow, and hopefully we will indeed get our top 6 forward that we have all been waiting for.

I believe the team the if the Isles do trade, will be the Devils, as they need to clear space. There has been rumor all summer that the Islanders shown mild interest in some of their forwards.  I do believe also that Snow may of been in talks with the Devs, and also other teams as well. Snow's not the guy that will just sit in his office and do nothing, and even if he keeps it to himself, he really is looking out in the market
.
So keep your eye out these next few weeks as teams need to clear space before they will  set rosters...

A few quick hits for this week.

-Not only will Rick DiPietro get some camp days off, so will Doug Weight as he takes it slow since he had shoulder surgery

-James Wisniewski didn't practice today

-Mark Eaton returned today after being out because of his back

-Konopka should attend training camp sometime this week
