The Islanders have signed Defenseman Mike Mottau to a two year one way deal, as first reported by Katie Strang.Good pickup by the Isles. Now with the signings of Eaton, Jurcina, Wisniewski and Mottau, their D has certainly improved. Great news. I doubt Nielsen and Hunter are going to get along well with him after Mottau's hit on Frans, with Hunter jumping in and fighting him.
Also, Kyle Okposo is out indefinitely and will need surgery to repair his shoulder. Can this team's injuries get any worse? Hamonic suffered an injury at camp today as well. And I thought during the season was the bad luck with injuries for the Isles?
